List O-Favs

Favorite Ice Cream: Dippin Dots – it is truly the “ice cream of the future.”

Favorite TV Show: Dead to Me, great Netflix series starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini

Favorite Musical Artists . . . Billy Joel and without a doubt Sara Bareilles! (Those who know me are not shocked that I said something about Sara Bareilles just three lines into this list). She is amazing and we got to see her in January in the lead role of Jenna in the Broadway show Waitress. Sara wrote all the music for the hit musical. She has also been inducted into the Song Writers Hall of Fame. She certainly deserved the honor.

Favorite song lyric of all time: “The Father, Son and Holy Ghost caught the last train for the coast.” America Pie. Classic rock.

A major embarrassing thing about me is I’m addicted to Hallmark Christmas movies. I can see the same show five times and at the end I’m completely tearing up. After all – who doesn’t want to see two beautiful people falling in love while drinking hot chocolate, going ice skating, picking out (and then trimming) the Christmas tree making snow angels and even creating an entry in the town’s gingerbread house making contest?

Favorite Song: Who Died and Made You ‘King of Anything’ – Sara Bareilles of course. This is followed by her How Am I Gonna Get Over You. For most people their fav of Sara is Not Gonna Write You a Love Song.

Favorite Quote: Anything hard is not worth doing – Homer Simpson

Favorite Pie: French Silk

Favorite Activity: Walks on the beach, candle light dinners, intimate conversations that last all night and dreaming I am in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Problem with the last one is I’m not pretty nor do I have any acting talent whatsoever. Those first three I made up.

Favorite Person: Julie You ought to be concerned about the state of my mental health (notice the Men at Work song reference?) if I said anyone one other than Julie. The easiest part though it is true. It really is Julie!

Favorite Food: Anything on a stick.

Favorite Star: The Sun. Second favorite star is Betelgeuse which is reported to be 100 times larger that our sun. What the hell kind of SPF would you need for that? Just cruise into CVS and tell em’ to point you to the FPS 16,000.

Favorite City: Venice, Italy. Though now you have to pay that hefty tourism tax to visit there. True

Favorite Story: When my little 2 year-old niece who introduced herself in a tumbling class by announcing, “my name is Lorelie and I pooped in the potty.” That pretty much says it.. That means I know who I am and am confident enough to tell you my biggest accomplishment today. You only get away with that kind of bold honesty when you are 2 or 89. Any age in between and people think you’ve lost it.

Celebrity I am most concerned about: Eva Longoria. Sure she is known around the world, beautiful, on magazine covers, wealthy, fit, talented, knows Felicity Huffman and has Mario Lopez for a best friend. But is she really happy?

Favorite Car: 2002 Millennium Yellow Corvette Convertible

Favorite Cruise Ship: Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas (the main image for the site was taken aboard the incredible ship).

Favorite YouTube video: Gerry Brooks – Aunt Becky
