We are getting close to making our debut on YouTube. New channel coming up. I need to think about branding a bit before I create the account. Which all the tutorials say you should do.
Of course my three gracious initial subscribers won’t really care about the marketing part of it. (Which is very cool). Yet my goal is to have six subscribers on my channel by February 1st. Hard to double your number of subscribers without some intense branding effort!
If I hit my mark of six – I may hire an expensive YouTube consultant to get me to twelve subscribers. At that point I’ll just need another 3,988 subscribers to be able to monetize. Well, that and the 4,000 hours of view time. I’m targeting that goal for 2057. I’ll have died by then but . . .
I have my two topics picked out to begin. One is a review of my new $129 Sereer video recorder. I know huge money. Thank you Amazon. This particular camera is so inexpensive it doesn’t even have a model number. You can see the camera here.
My plan is to go on the cheap until I decide whether I’ll be a semi-regular YouTuber. Some great Canon cameras out there popular for vloggers. But to start picking up my editing skills are much more of a concentration.
My second topic will be a review of my Ecotric electric bike. Lots more cool outdoor shots possible with that. Bottom line though is I just have to get some footage on the computer.
I’m experimenting with the camera this afternoon and evening. Tomorrow I’ll shoot my first vlog and transfer to the PC. Then it is all editing time – which may take a while. But I’m getting close.
